do you ask age or locaton when in club tortimer?

I'm actually really enjoying tortimer club, how you can do activities with completely random people. But I've been finding that if ages or precise locations are revealed, it seems to kind of spoil the mood a bit. I remember one of the times I had the most fun at was when I was playing with a french speaking girl/woman and we talked very little; just fished and caught bugs. A few people have asked to share FCs, but I'm not online as much so I don't visit with the new people afterwards much.

I do not ask anyone their age or location. I also prefer not to disclose my age either. Sometimes location can be found on the TPC card, like mine (shows Hawaii). Some show US, but I think that's more than enough for me.

Though, when I tell people I prefer not to say my age, I end up w/ getting rude comments. OTL...

I don't go to Club Tortimer much, I've heard too many horror stories to want to deal with it. I know I can just switch off the wifi if someone starts annoying me but I'd rather not have to deal with that situation in the first place, since I play the game to relax.

When and if I go on there, I don't really ask people's ages or locations and I find that sort of creepy, it makes me think of those creepy guys who want to know if you're a young woman just so they can chat about sex or something. I don't really care about the other players on there as long as they're not annoying me. If any of them were being really fun to play with I wouldn't mind chatting with them and if that came up in conversation it would be one thing but there's no point to just go "ASL?" at everyone.

I only do club tortimer when I'm island hopping. Someone asked me my age once. I answered honestly because I'm sure it wasn't something they wanted to hear. lol

I would never ask anyone their age or location because it is none of my business and I don't know said person; plus it's just plain out creepy imo.

I go to Club Tortimer all the time. It's pretty obvious what some of their ages are. I don't ask but I don't have a problem with them asking for my age.

I never ask because, as Mariah said, it's usually easy to tell. That and I don't really care to ask for their age, especially location because I think that's a little odd. If another person asks for my age, I'll usually just tell them that if they guess it right, I'll disclose it. Otherwise, I don't share right off the bat.

I never ask about that, only when we are becoming good friends but that's happening rarely. There was once a strange person - he wanted money from me. I gave him a bit (around 20k) but he wanted more. I said no, he became angry and insulted me, then he said that if I don't give him any money, there will be a dead girl lying in my room tomorrow. Creepy guys out there xD

I like asking where people are from, it's interesting and I don't have a problem with it. I mean you can see it on their TPC anyway. I never ask what age people are. I'd feel like a bit of a creep to be honest

What do you mean by these? When interacting with other people in the game I rarely have anything to say and when I do it's usually game related or very general small talk that would be safe for all ages, and with time, I don't know why I'd have anything to do with it.

As said before, it's pretty easy to tell how old someone is on there. I wouldn't ask for anyone's location.

Lately I've been visiting Club Tortimer a lot! And I don't really ask people their age (unless they're acting childish), but if people ask me, I just tell it to them. It doesn't matter to me that they know how old I am, what's the worst that can happen?

nope i just assume everyone is a kid so i don't mess with them/curse/whatever & usually they tell me where theyre from but i dont ever go there to socialize, just for items

No, that would be creepy anyway. I can just look at their profile card if I want to know where they live and I can tell what age they are most of the time.
