Island hopping is a scam! Lol. I keep saying this because I could never forget how I blew over 200k miles looking for a snooty and cranky (no one specific even, just any of them) before and ended up with no one and no miles leftover. I ended up getting two randos instead because no snooty or cranky showed up in the islands. I had to break my no TT rule to fix that craziness that happened and get rid of the randos who moved in using the campsite trick. The bonus was I got some dreamies in the process of doing that. But since then I’ve been so traumatized that I’ve never went back to the islands until now. I’ve never let anyone leave as well for fear I’ll have to go to the islands again to fill up the empty plot. I told myself I’ll just wait for campers normally and if they happen to be dreamies, that’s when I’ll replace some of my villagers. If not, no one leaves. Lol.

OH Jambette haunts me! I find her every time I go island hopping, at least once! And then there are the gorillas, that awful Rocket...every time I see something pink in the distance I know it will be her.

I did island hopping for the first time last weekend, and ended up with Marshal using 31 tickets in total!

Before that I also met Julian (5th ticket), Skye (12th ticket), Beau (11th, 20th ticket) and Merengue (28th ticket).

It was fun but also tiring, and that was part of the reason why I ended my search at Marshal. I was too tired to continue and it was getting late.

It’s frustrating if you have a limited pool of villagers you’re seeking. It is annoying when you get villagers like Goose, Bitty, Marina, etc over and over. Don’t spend too many hours on it. It can take a toll on physical health.

I understand that the game has a LOT of villagers to randomly cycle through but nothing makes me feel worse than REPEATEDLY seeing the same villager when I'm doing a bunch of island hopping. I've seen villagers like sherb, erik, violet, costeau up to 5 times each. Once I saw dotty, left her, used my next nook miles ticket and low and behold it was dotty again! This later happened with Hamphrey as well ://

I like that you can get rid of a villager and invite them almost immediately back to your island now but I really think they need some kind of lower spawn rate on villagers you've already seen or have literally had on your island before..
