Do yellow mums have a purpose I don't know about?

Are the "special" colors a real thing? Because I had seen people claiming there were "special" hybrid red roses that would make black roses, but I found seed red roses made black roses and the hybrid red roses made more reds (or even white)
I was able to get purple mums from a hybrid island and thus they produced loads of green mums!
Is there an accurate hybrid guide out there yet? LOL

Yep, sure are. Special or hybrid versions of base seed colors are a thing. Need special/hybrid red roses for blues, special/hybrid red windflowers for purples, special/hybrid red pansies for purples, and special/hybrid blue hyacinth for purples. I've only not gotten a blue rose or purple windflower, otherwise, all attainable via special/hybrid variations.

Takes two orange tulips to make purple, two orange hyacinth to make special blue or purple, an orange and purple rose to make special red to make blue. There's another route to blue that takes longer, but the breeding pairs for blue spawn blues at a higher rate. Super complicated, absolutely, but totally worth it.

The special colors are indeed a real thing. I've bred over 50 green mums thanks to successfully breeding special yellows and special purples.

I know it probably seems complicated and overwhelming, but other than blue roses it's quite easy once you understand! Caps = special mum, capable of breeding the green mum.

White mum + White mum => Regular Purple mum (cannot produce Green mum)

Red mum + White mum => Pink mum



To get a Green mum:

Step 1: Red seed mum + Yellow seed mum => Special YELLOW mum

Step 2: YELLOW mum + YELLOW mum => Green mum (6.25% chance)
Step 2.1: YELLOW mum + YELLOW mum => Special PURPLE mum (25% chance)
Step 2.2: PURPLE mum + PURPLE mum => Green mum (25% chance)

Start by cross breeding the red and yellow mums you can buy at the store or from Leif. Every day check for yellow mum buds and immediately separate them into their own patch with other yellow mums that spawn from the red/yellows you planted.

When those new yellows breed purple mums, separate those purples so they breed with each other. You may even get a green mum before you get enough purples.

The hybrid flowers from islands are the same as the "special" flowers, in this case the purple mums you can get from an island visit would skip right to the last step where all you need to do is grab a bunch of them to breed and you will get green mums quickly.
