Do villagers stop mentioning their old town after a while?

I have some villagers who have moved from other towns. Just wondering if they stop mentioning their old town eventually and if so, after how long.

idk i kinda like hearing about their old towns... i adopted most of my villagers (with an exception of Flurry because i got her from the tent/camp) i love the town tunes too <3 i grew up in a music loving family

I don't think so. I've had some of my villagers for some time and they still refer to their old towns.

Yeah I don't think they stop. It's quite annoying actually, I wish they would stop.

Same here. Ive had Genji from my old town for several weeks now and he still talks about the old town I got him from

No I don't think they ever stop. It's pretty annoying in my town because most of my villagers I held in my cycling town before moving them to my main, so they all talk about the same "old" town. But oh well

They most likely don't stop, just like us, if you moved, wouldn't you talk about your old town?

This is kind of why I sometimes consider finding the villagers by myself with the campsite instead of adopting them but that'd take too long :'(

They randomly mention their old towns, some never stop, lol. But that's ok with me, I sort of like it. I'd like to think the ones from my town still mention me or my town "out there" somewhere.

So... random note to you cyclers, make sure you create a cute or decent name for your cycle towns and your character for your cycle town. No one wants a villager to repeatedly mention the "Void" or "Nowhere" as a town. For ever...

They never stop. I adopted Olivia almost two years ago and she still mentions her old towns. So do Lolly, Rosie, Tangy and Punchy

Darn, I was wondering the same thing.

I don't mind them mentioning their own town names, but when they randomly start singing the old town's tune...argghh.

I have to wait for them to finish and they'll never sing your town's tune. Only the ones from move-ins and campsites will sing your tune.

Hopefully the next AC gives you the option to completely reset the villager - not just catchphrase and clothes.

Really? For me they stop. I had Stitches for a measurably long time and he stopped talking about his town. I talk to him everyday and he hasn't mentioned his town once. I don't know if it's just for me but many of my villagers stopped mentioning their town after I tt a week.

Aurora is still mentioning "westerly" (another town that I happened to pass on StreetPass, which is how I got her), even after living in Croydon for more than 4 months.

Eh, for me they usually hum their tonw tune during some of my early chats with them before completely forgetting about their old town due to how amazing my town is.
