Do villagers of the same type talk to each other?

This has been a silly question I keep thinking about from time to time (and haven't been able to confirm for myself)-- do same personalities have any dialogue when speaking to the same personality, or do they ignore each other? (Like a lazy talking with a lazy?) I lean toward the likelihood of them not talking to each other, but wanted to know from the experience and knowledge of others.

i had tia and eunice (both normals) have a conversation today, they both talked about starting a book club and when they should meet.. it was really cute! i've also seen both my jock villagers talking about holding an abs contest lmao

Yes they do! Today I had both Marshal and Zell (smug villagers) discussing on items that they couldn't live without on the island c:

yes i saw a video online of stitches and punchy talking to each other, and i thought that was convo was for another personality + lazy, considering lazies are dumb lol
