Do villagers give you more shirts when you are wearing a pattern?

I downloaded a QR code dress to wear for the first time yesterday (finally unlocked the feature),
and just this morning I have recieved like 10 shirts from my villagers, LOL!
Before that I wore actual Able Sisters clothes.

Is this a coincidence or do you recieve more clothes from villagers when you wear a pattern?

I think its a coincidence! I never noticed an increase of my villagers giving me shirts after I changed into a qr code
