do traded villagers carry over their interiors??

title. i've seen people in the trading boards talking about how the villager has a lot of items that were gifted in their house, which i could understand to an extent, but if i was to recieve a villager that was one of the other person's first five villagers, would that villager carry over the starting/default personality interior or would their interior be updated?

they dont carry over the starter homes but they could have some items they got from the other town in there
