Do these spots work for villager house's?

Pretty much what is stated in the question above, I'm not sure if these places work for houses.
It would be nice if they did as I like my villagers being next to another house, almost like a two by two deal.



As you see the first image is really close to the river, and the second one is close near the edge.
Any help will be much appreciated~!

Unfortunately, I think both are too close to the cliff/edges to work.

The first one, the door looks too close to the river edge. Moving it one over to the left will enable them to move in (assuming they don't already have a villager next to them).

The second one should work, I've plotted villagers close to the cliff edges before with only one space to spare.

I think (not sure) because of the way the cliff curves (assuming from the placement of lillies) it might be tooo close. but im not too sure on that one.

Oh yeah I see it now. Welp, time to go town grinding to see if an animal has moved in a weird spot like that before.

OP, I think the best way to check those would be to see if the fountain (or a 3x3 PWP) can be placed there. If it can't, then a villager can't place there either.

Thank you all for helping. And that's a really good idea, I'll try it out and hopefully they can move there.
Hopefully I have the fountain pwp.

Update~so I had a go with the fountain pwp and was able to see that it sadly doesn't work but I was able to move the house plan a little up and down for each picture~!

The reason why they wouldn't work:

First picture - there isn't any space between the yellow cosmos and white lilies (diagonal part on the right). If it's possible to put a single flower on that spot, pretty sure it will work.

Second picture - also no space between the yellow and white lillies on the part near the cliff. It's okay for the plot to only have one space near the cliff or a river except if it is in front since you're gonna need two (space in front of the door included in the counting).
