Do pumpkins go off if you leave them on the ground ?

I am collecting all the ingredients needed to Turkey Day now as the next 4 days I am working 9-10 hour shifts and won't have time on turkey day to collect them and play. A question I have is will the pumpkins go off if I leave them on the floor like turnips do ? As I have made my beach a drop off area for all the ingredients so I can see what else I need to collect.

I don’t think they spoil! But just to be safe, I’d leave them on the plant and harvest them on Turkey day.

The reason turnips go bad is just a mechanic to stop players from hoarding them until they get a good selling day. Pumpkins have no stalk market, and thus, like fruit, or any other item in the game, will not ruin or spoil if left laying about.
