Do lily of the Valley only show up on cliff edge?

I don’t have a five star yet because I have a bunch of DIY all thrown around my beaches. Just wondering though, if I were to clean up, do the lilies only appear in cliff edge? Because I put fences all over my cliff edges and need to know of those need removing. I kind of like the fence in look though (feels like you won’t fall off).

They only spawn on the cliff’s edge, but you can always dig them up and replant them elsewhere.
