Do Lazy villagers often stay in their houses during events?

I've noticed a pattern with my two Lazies-- they seem to be the only ones not coming out for the firework show. Before I had the second one, I noticed my first Lazy didn't participate in the Bug Off, either. Is this common for them?

Can’t say I have the same experience. I always see Beau out and about during events.

Definitely random. Most of my villagers have been in and out tonight, but Sherb has been out pretty much the whole time- he's been one of the most enthusiastic with his cheering

EDIT- In fact, he just gave one of my side characters a sparkler!
...and I think I'll be giving him my spare Flower Bopper ☺

Drago is out in the plaza enjoying the fireworks

Moe wasn't at the plaza for the fireworks, but he was outside near his home watching the fireworks. The only villager I noticed that was in their house for me was my jock villager, Coach.

Definitely think it’s random. Stella (normal) and Chief (cranky) were the only ones who weren’t outside for the fireworks show on my island, while Sherb was outside and in the plaza the whole time.

Wade was out enjoying the fireworks in the plaza on my island. The only one who was inside for me was Marshal.

Same as the others, Beau was literally loving life it was like it was the best day ever he was rocking his pear hat and dancing around like a crazy person. O'hare and Ankha back in their houses.

My 3 lazy all enjoying the firework show till 12:00 am lol even by pass their sleep time at 11:00 pm LOL

I would say it's random. I had Zucker and Lucky both outside enjoying the fireworks yesterday. Maybe next Sunday it'll be different!
