Do flowers hybrid better in different towns?

Heres why I am asking....

I have had my original town Gluten since July and have tons of pansy flowers. Heck I have what I thought was all of the hybrid flowers. I water them most days. 2 weeks ago I bought a new game and it has pansy flowers, so I started watering them too. Up pops purple pansy flowers, something I don't have in the original town. My question is does anyone who has 2 games or even 1 notice some flowers just seem to hybrid better in your town then in others? Or is this just a fluke?

I think my son and I get the same amount of hybrids but in different colors, mine all tend to be pink and orange and his tend to be blue and black.
