Do flowers die in winter?

Hey guys, my island is set to be in the southern hemisphere and it's going to be winter soon. I wonder if flowers will die in winter. Thank you.

i was scared of tting to winter and after a while I thought ok well at least my island won't be covered in flowers then
it's still covered in flowers, even after 7 winters :l

No. I had the little powder snow falling down and they water your flowers.
