Do blue roses even exist?

Because I'm convinced they don't

I have been trying for months to grow blue roses, and they just won't grow! I've looked up lots of guides, so I know I have the correct combo of flowers - orange and purple to make hybrid red, and then 2 hybrid reds to make blue. I even have all my hybrid red roses on the beach so they won't be invaded by other flowers, and I water them with my golden watering can every day!

Nothing seems to be working! So, I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how they've achieved blue roses. Does fertilizer help? Flower placement? What have you found useful?

I can sell you 2 blue roses, then you can just breed them to make more blue roses how about 2 for 40 TBT?

But breeding them from them two hybrid red roses are a pain in the.... I had to get a friend to help me, and she gave me 2 blue roses exchange. After that I was so happy after breeding so many I was handed far too many blue roses to everyone in club tortimer, true story lol. After I knew what I doing wrong it was far more easier for me to get the blue pansies and any hybrid for that matter! When breeding you need flower that has the family history you need, or no family history. If you breed with a flower that has been child after child of so many flowers through out your town, the data stored in that flower (genes) will breed others you might not want even though it may not look like it. What do you think makes a red hybrid so special? Start fresh with flowers from tours at the island when breeding next time. Trust me.

I had my friend let me borrow 2 blue roses and I watered them for a week with a good watering can and had the Beautiful Ordinance activated and I got a good collection of them!

I had the same difficulty, so someone gave me one blue rose that I put next to hybrids and I got a second one the next morning.

Blue roses do exist, but they're fairly hard to breed. Once you start a few up though, they tend to pop around like crazy. (๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)

It took me 8 long months to breed the blue roses in my town, you have to be extremely patient with this. You should throw away the red roses that spawn from the hybrid red roses, I think they are not able to spawn the blue rose. And I needed 3 months for the purple pansies, they spawned from special orange pansies.

It still took me 8 month using fertilizer and my golden watering can... I seem to have bad luck.

It is possible to breed blue roses, just takes a long time and lots of patience. Can't remember how many months it took, but when that one blue rose finally appeared !! Then it was easy to breed the second blue rose, then off we go. Phew.

I've never bred any myself - well, not from scratch. After buying/trading for blue roses from other people in other towns I've had a few multiply, but that's the closest I've come. I'm not patient enough to try doing it any other way, haha.

OP, I can bring a couple over to your town if you like. No fee or anything, slap 'em on the beach and let the waiting begin

I am overwhelmed by your generosity at offering to give me your blue roses You are all very kind, thank you for offering! However, unfortunately, my wi-fi has never worked for my ACNL, and I tried it again just the other day, so I none of you can actually come over to my town :'( I am so appreciative of your offers, though! And I really would like to try breed one myself... however much pain this is going to take...

Okay, so obviously they do exist, they just haven't grown yet in my town. Rude. So, I'll try everyone's tips and hopefully one day I will achieve a beautiful blue rose So, I will keep using my gold watering can, and I will now buy fertilizer.

My next question is, hybrid red roses vs. normal red roses. In all the guides I have read, to breed a blue rose, you must first have a red rose that has been breed from a purple and orange rose. People who have breed blue roses, is this correct? This is what I have been doing. I only have my special red roses on my beach, and in theory these are the ones that in time should grow blue roses?
