Do any of you feel genuinely guilty about being horrible to a villager?

I have Limberg in my town. And let's face it, he's not the prettiest mouse in the cheese house.

I hit him with a net one day but I felt so bad about it! Then he goes and requests a good Public Works Project. He's always in Re-Tail, wanting to buy my stuff. And today he walked in wearing one of my Designs.

Ahhh, Limberg. You are trying so hard to get me to like you.

Have any of you experienced this in the game?

Nope. I didn't pay $15 to be nice to a bunch of pixels I don't like :P

I'm never mean to anyone; I just talk less to villagers I don't like.

I accidentally hit my villagers with the net and shovel sometimes. They always run over to talk to me when I'm holding something in my hands. LOL. I don't feel bad, though. I'm sure they know it was an accident.

I tried to be legit mean to Sterling when he moved into my second town, but I felt so bad afterwards...

Quillson on the other hand...I did everything I could to get him to move. But he's the only one.

I feel bad being unnecessarily mean to anyone, even if they are virtual animals lol If I am particularly annoyed at one specific villager (Sterling..........), I will just avoid him for a while.

Nope. I shouldn't feel bad for being honest in-game and real life. When villagers invite me over to their houses, I say to most of them that their houses look like a garbage dump when they ask for my opinion.

In my first town I would hit Flo with a net, pitfall her, all that stuff because I didn't like her design. After talking to her, I felt really bad about it, because Uchis are one my favorite personalities ;w;

No, I'm never mean to my villagers, though, if it's one I dislike, I tend to talk to them less and turn down their requests.

Yeah, i missed Annalisa's birthday two days ago. I had even prepared a gift for her, wrapped it up and all (it was an azalea bonsai). Still feeling bad over it but I was really bussy and totally forgot about it.

Sorry, Annalisa. T-T

YES
I had bonbon in my town and she WOULD. NOT. LEAVE. It took days to cycle her out. But during the breaks she would talk to me and I almost felt bad for hitting her with the net over and over again. Eventually she did move out tho and now at least she can appear on Main Street.
And ah i dont think Limberg is that bad, he has a certain charm. At least hes not Jambette.

Normally I do. But then there is this ugly bear who placed her house RIGHT IN FRONT OF the town hall, and it looks unbelievably ridiculous. Sadly she won't move out..

I always feel so horrible whenever I try talking to them while holding a net and I accidentally whap them with it. ;_;

Okay, so I feel bad about being mean to villagers, but only certain ones...

In AC Gamecube, I actually had an ongoing war with Chow--because, you know, in the GC version cranky villagers were MEAN as HELL. So I would... you know... hit him with nets, and axes, and block him in his house using sign posts, and send him mean letters. Because I thought he would move out. But he didn't. //grr

Then, I had Coco in my town in the GC. Her appearance makes me feel physically sick so I tried to get her out by being mean but she's so nice ;n; I felt terrible about it and decided to just ignore her...

And now, in NL, when villagers ask if they can come over to my house/if I'll go to theirs, I usually say no because I forget to and then they get really sad and it makes me feel terrible. Blah.

Yes, it' weird how these pixilated animals can make a person feel guilty. The thing is, sometimes they really tick me off. So my solution is to create an alt who's purpose is to be the exact opposite of my mayor. This person can wear bad clothes, give mean answers to questions and hit villagers with nets. I even set their house up to look trashy. I'm not sure why it makes a difference but somehow it's easier to be mean to them on an alt than on my mayor.

Yes, that's why I never hit my villagers with things or push them into pitfalls. If they happen to fall in one, I will laugh, don't get me wrong! ;w; But I never intentionally hurt them. I even feel badly if I accidentally hit them w/my shovel or something when I'm just trying to talk to them...

I opened Quillson's time capsule by accident today.
and stole and bet off his goods.
not sorry. :cool:

I wasn't mean to Hans when he was in time I was really nice, so he would think we had a great friendship and he would ping me to move. Took a lot of work and tt'ing one day at a time, but it all paid off.

I use to be so rude to Gaston, but then I was thinking about it and thinking that no villagers deserves to have a terrible time, then from then on I was nice and eventually gave him to a good home C:
