its not exactly triggering but I have that thing where circles close together really bothers me a lot trypto something? And fauna and Francine Christy augh.
I spend 3 minutes debating on Fauna. The front so cute. The back. No. Eck. Decided to not get her. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl.

Not a serious trigger, but sporty villagers that look the part make me highly uncomfortable. There are only very few jocks I can stand, and this affects the superhero themed villagers too. (Of course my starters had to be Scoot and Rocket.)

I have had Fauna for two weeks now and didn't know about the circles on the back of her head before I got her... And for some reason it is bothering me too? I don't know why - normally I am not affected by things like this and that is why I think it is so sad that something small like this turns me off Fauna. I didn't even know how to describe my aversion before reading your post! So thank you, I guess? :')

Well, at least my choice between having Fauna and Poppy as a second normal villager is easier now

There is a penguin that shares a very unique/rare name (at least in the United States) with a former friend of mine. We had a falling out late last year so the feelings are still pretty fresh, and this penguin is in quite a few memes so I see the villager pretty often.
It doesn't outright trigger me, it just makes me solemn. I still save a lot of these memes in the off chance I'll ever be able to send them to the friend.

That really helps! Thank you! I found out recently that Dom doesn't wear those shades so he might replace Poncho one day. I'm really sad about letting Poncho leave though I wish there was a way to make him stop wearing them. I tried to gift him glasses to replace them but he refuses to wear anything except those shades.. I'll take a look at that link you sent to see who else could potentially replace Poncho. I did want to come here to say that I'm so very sorry for others that have suffered(are suffering) trauma or suffer mental issues, due to abuse or otherwise. Sadly, some who don't have these issues really don't understand the personal effects of true psychological trauma. It's not because they don't want to, but it's likely difficult for them to wrap their heads around on a personal level of something they've never personally experienced, so I try to be understanding of that too. Some things can be an annoyance which I overlook, but when it's a trigger, that is a whooooole different ball of wax. Just know that those out there with this stuff are not alone. My PM box is always open btw even though I know I'm new here still! Thanks for reading!

Tbh I clicked this thread expecting to see a lot of annoying jokes about "triggers" since this is a video game forum and it's unfortunately common, so I'm really relieved it wasn't the case lol

Not trigger in the actual sense, but I get super annoyed and disgusted at Quillson. Like, when you think of nails on a chalkboard disgusted. Only because he reminds me of Owen Wilson. He's a movie star, blonde, smug. Also Wilson QUILLSON... not sure if this was intentional or not but ughhhh I hate Owen Wilson and his awful voice

yup I feel the same way about Quillson. he was in my sister's town in new leaf and we thought he looked diseased (like the gross zombie kind of diseased), and it didn't help that he was always sick.
