Does your home town have any conventions once every year?

My home town of San Diego has the famous San Diego Comic-Con.
I go to Comic-Con every year. I,ve been going for years and it's just fantastic.
It's the biggest comic book and pop culture convention.

I got to meet several famous people there, including Hugh Jackman who
made a suprise appearance and showed a previwe for the new Wolverine
X-Men film. I even met some of my favorite comic book artists and authors there
as well.

So, any type of conventions happen in your town?

No, my town is extremely small. A fun fact about my town: Kitty Litter was invented there. xD

There's going to be a furry convention in the town right next to me in a few months...

None that I know of. I just moved here 3 months ago, still learning things about the place.

I'm in Maine, temporarily. But normally I live near Boston. Every year there is the Anime Boston convention, but that's the biggest event that goes on remotely related to video games or "famous" people. I've been to 2 Lord of the Rings conventions, but they don't hold those anymore. Sigh.
