I was trying to get someone out of my town today, to adopt a villager from someone else.
I have 4 "normal villagers" and 6 villagers i moved in through the amiibo cards.
I time traveled a lot and all the time only the 4 normal villagers wanted to move out.
Do you guys know if the amiibo card villagers are locked to my town until i kick them out with a new amiibo card or had i just bad luck?
I wouldnt really like it if they were locked forever because then i would have to wait until i got the cards of the villagers i want :/

i doubt theyre locked forever, bc in that case if someone uses cards 10 times theyre trapped with card-only villagers... hopefully thats not the case. maybe its just harder to move them out, similar to the 10th move in?

I'm still wondering this as well. Anyone had any luck on moving any Amiibo Villagers out? Especially the "special" characters like Cece and Vich?.

It's not been confirmed yet but I've read somewhere that the Amiibo figure villagers (Wolf Link, Splatoon sisters) won't move out organically. I don't know about 'regular' AC characters moved in by card though.

Maybe there's a special technique on how to do it, but they can't just make them stay forever

I really hope this isn't the case! That would be such a frustrating feature.

I was just about to post asking this question, going to be doing a lot of time travel inbetween moving my villagers in so I can get all their items first. Don't really want them moving out as fast as I put them there
Posted too soon....I'm assuming they must be able to leave on their own accord at some point, although temporarily I'd prefer mine not to. Wondered if I needed to bother checking them for pings and what not

They should be able to move out on their own, but since the cards bypass the 16 villager cycle it shouldn't be a problem if you keep the card.

You can make them move with a new card amiibo right? They just won't ping?

Suddenly want to scan all my residents back in again.....

yes. but if they dont move without a card you'll always need a card of the villager you want :/

So I scanned in 10 villagers and started time traveling, got one random move out with no warning and one ping asking to move~

whoa, what - that is sooo unfair if true! i wanna lock my current guys up, too. ;A;

oh, ok - whew! so that means they can move out, it just might take a while since maybe friendship levels aren't high enough?

That still doesn't prove that they'll move out like regular villagers, though. Maybe they only ping to move when the town is full of amiibo villagers and it's the only option.

omg, that's so scary if true. D:

i hope it's just a rare occurrence??? like the 10th villager move out thingy? it is possible a 10th villager will ping to leave, but super rare. i've only had it happen twice.

I really doubt the amiibo villagers are permanent, maybe nintendo made it a bit harder for them to move since people had to actually purchase these villagers~ a weird way to get you your money's worth?
