Most maps, I've noticed, have river bends making your town uneven on both sides. Do all maps have rivers like that, or is it possible to have a relatively straight river?
I believe every town must have at least one bend in order to form the town's river pool (which is the widest section of the river, on a bend) and a few fish only spawn there.
I have seen a few layouts where the river is pretty much almost horizontal across the map with a small round pond within it as is always the case and one bridge
They aren't asking if they have rivers, they're asking if they have river bends.
That aside, I have seen some maps with a pretty straight-across river, but not often. It's possible though. You will still get some wider areas of river and maybe a small bend but you can find one that's fairly even.
I've definitely seen ones where the river has gone almost entirely horizontal and then bent just a bit at the last moment. I agree with whoever posted that I think that's to do with getting a larger "pond" area of the river for the bigger fish to spawn in. It's rare but it is possible....
