Is there any way, besides buying/trading,to get dlc now? I have started a new town and obviously the items are no longer available for download. Asking Pelly/Phylis to check for presents is pointless now.
I'm not against buying/trading once I have the means to do so(new town=very little money or items) but it seems to me that nintendo should've had another way for players to obtain the items down the road. Plus the more time goes by the less people will be playing and less peeps to trade/buy from.
I know that you can get some dlc from the rv's in the campsite but it's very little(especially for those of us that don't have a card reader or cards or the money to spend on them).

Believe me I'd love to hack my game, if I had a clue how. There was one I had but never got to use because I did a system update on my ds not realizing that it was incompatible with said update and no longer works. I keep hoping I'll be able to find another way but what I have found I don't understand.

Having some savvy and patience in looking up relevant information can go a long way. I can't teach you how to hack your system (that would be against the site's rules), but I'll leave these little nuggets of advice: when doing research on how to do something, narrow your search to material that's around a week to a month in age. Even if you find a method that's easy to comprehend and you find that you can pull things off successfully, ALWAYS keep a backup of your original save data.

I was able to get a bunch of the orderable DLC by having some lucky streetpasses.

Voldecourt, in my original town I did the same thing. I had a good number of houses in the Happy Home Showcase. In my new town I have none but if any show up I will be checking them. Although there are some items it won't let you order from there sadly. Thanks
