The DIY Recipes+ isn't in Nook Stop for me after the update... Help? Did I do something wrong or not meet some unannounced requirements? My game version does say it took the update and is at 2.0.0...

Did you reset your island? If so, did KK already had a concert?

No, I didn't reset my island. (Should I? Would that help? If so, how do I do that?) Also no, KK hasn't had a concert yet...it's only recently I got the campground built and a visitor to it to move onto the island. Is KK a prerequisite to getting the cooking DIYs?

It's okay if your new to animal crossing. From what I understand you get the cooking recipes after you get a three star island and K.KSlider has his concert. That is also when you can do the boat tours as well. Its just the order they are unlocked I the game so you have something to look forward too
I see you're still early in the game. No worries. These are the requirements:
- Resident Services should be fully upgraded into a building
- Finish the tutorial for DIY customization
- K.K. should have had his first concert
You need to do these anyway to unlock other features, such as Kapp'n.

Ah! See, it would have been nice if it had been mentioned that there were all these requirements to be able to cook. It seemed that as soon as the game updated that we'd automatically be able to jump into cooking.
You're all so friendly and helpful, and it's greatly appreciated; thank you for all the advice. I'm going to take it over to Reddit (which was a waste of time in looking for advice, lol) and share your advice with a person who'd comment on my help request that they were having the same confusion.
