Distance between bridge and a villager's house (or pwp)?

I want to destroy a bridge and put a different type of bridge in its exact spot. Only thing is, it's relatively close to a villager's house. Is there a general rule of thumb as to how far a bridge has to be from another structure? Both the bridge and the villager house are original- as in, they were both there when I first started the town.

I just don't want Isabelle to tell me I can't re-build my bridge because it's too close to a house- because the bridge is in the perfect spot, and the house is one of my dreamie villagers' so it's not like I can move her out...

I'd appreciate anyone's insight!

I tore down a bridge that was next to a PWP, and tried to put it back up in the exact same spot but Isabelle wouldn't let me. I'm not sure what the exact rule is though.

You're best off just leaving it. Many tears have been shed over bridges that can't be built back. Maybe let someone look at it in a dream to get a more accurate assessment?

I honestly wouldn't risk it unless you don't mind possibly having to put the bridge in another spot.

I don't know the distance, but I would say you shouldn't demolish it. I guess the choice is, do you want the new looking bridge but possibly in a different place, or the regular bridge but in the place you mentioned?

This, pretty much. By redoing the bridge you'd have to sacrifice placement for looks.
