2015 is near. That means the new Star Wars movies from Disney come out soon (next year). Are you going to watch it? I'm skeptical about it. I think they shouldn't use Harrison Ford. The last movie I saw him in was Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

I am not ever going to watch anything related to Star Wars.

this for me; was already subjected to the other movies when i was a kid. never again. i just really dislike star wars.

I'll likely go with my boyfriend to see it.
Disney owns Marvel & they've been doing wonderful with recent Marvel films. Star Wars Episode VII will be the first SW film made by Disney, and honestly I'd like to think they're going to do a better job than George Lucas. The best SW was V imo & that wasn't directed by Lucas. It's also worth noting that Disney is hiring some very capable filmmakers to work on SW. They even approached David Fincher about directing VII, but I'm sure you're aware J.J. Abrams is doing it instead, and I think he did a really good job with the Star Trek reboot.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was made by Lucas & Spielberg... Anything Lucas puts his hands on nowadays should be suspect. There's nothing wrong with Harrison Ford, it just depends on who's handling him. Idk how big a role he'll play in VII, but I think they're basically going to be transitioning over to the new, younger cast.

I'm looking forward to see what Disney would do with Star Wars. But I'm not going to hold my breath on it. The prequels were okayish. Clone Wars was awesome though. Like seriously awesome. You can see Anakin's decent into the dark side.

I'll might watch it, since I haven't seen Star Wars in years...and it'll be cool to see it on the big screen again.
I think that their version of the new Star Wars is going to be quite good (regarding the Disney tropes that we all know at this point), since Lucas is gone with the whole "revamping the previous movies just because they're "unfinished" crap", and the crew they got seem promising enough.
I'm going to check it out once it comes out next year.

Ford is playing his same role as Solo. He will be the narrating to his kids. I think Ford is a good actor (especially in Air Force One). I just haven't seen him in recent movies

I'm aware :) I meant I'm not sure how much screen time he'll actually have. But I thiiink it will focus a lot on Solo & Skywalker as far as the original cast goes.

And my favorite Harrison Ford movie is hands down Blade Runner. If you've yet to see it, definitely check it out if you like sci-fi.

I'm not sure if they'll be that good or not, but since I really love Star Wars, I most likely will watch them. c:

+1 recommendation

one of the few extremely rare cases I've actually bought a film due to enjoying it enough, which is saying a lot

I'll check it out. I also like how Ford has some qoutable moments like "get off my plane!"

Final Cut or bust btw

though even without Ford I'd recommend based on just how amazingly well its set design has held up after over 30 years, along with how much it actually gives to the film's story as opposed to just simply being "location the film takes place"

actually the set itself is probably the biggest star come to think of it, lol

I'm not a fan of Star Wars so I probably won't be watching it. I don't HATE it; I just don't care about it. ^^;

I used to love Star Wars; saw the "first" trilogy (episodes 4-6), read some of the books (SW Universe; my favorites were the ones by Timothy Zahn)......

...and then the prequels came out and ruined my childhood. Then I heard about Disney getting the rights to SW, and then I heard about movie number seven and decided that I'm just going to pretend that the prequel movies and whatever awful content is going to happen never existed, and the Star Wars universe is just how I remembered it as a kid.

Short answer: No way am I going to see it.

I like Star Wars so I'll give the Disney version a chance. However I kind of wish that they didn't focus on the old cast anymore. I'd rather have a new story with new characters set in the Star Wars Universe.
