Disappointing Gifts & Overpriced Goodies?

I've gotten durians from villagers nonstop for weeks at a time. Where do they get these durians??????? Do they sneak out to the island at night to pick me up some god damn durians?
The last few times my bestie T-Bone got me a give they've been public restroom themed...

I sell most of what they give me. I don't see the point in keeping something I don't like when someone else could get more use out of it.

I hate when the villagers give you fruit... like... yay...

On his first day in town, Erik gave me a free cherry... I had cherry trees planted all around his house. At least he tried...? It was pretty cute tbh.

My villagers are alright with gifts, I've never gotten anything amazing or awful.

The only thing disappointing I've gotten from villagers is a fake painting with a hefty price tag. :c

I don't like when villagers receive a present and ask me to buy the present. It ends up to be some ugly outfit like the monkey shirt.
I never really get a good gift from my villagers.
Apart from this one time when Hans gave me a pink parka, but that was a while ago.

I would jump out of excitement if they ever gave me a permission because I've wanted to grow some for a while.

That was like the best thing I got from Gwen. I don't remember what I handed her, but in gratitude she gave me a persimmon which I immediately planted.

One time Flora gave me a cherry when it's my town's native fruit. >_>

I hate when they run up to you and want to sell you a shirt or something for wayyy more than it goes for in the stores, and then they pass it off as a deal. But then they make you feel bad by, when you reject them, giving it to you for free.

I suppose my town got some generous peeps. I buy everything they sell to me, do them favors, buy out everything in retail and put up for default price rounded up when I TT day by day, catalogue stuff from stores, and I somehow always end up having more than I started with or at least break even.

They give me shirts a lot. I get attached to some of them for some reason haha; (even ugly ones)

I agree with you. I once paid 9,000 Bells for a painting that was only worth 4,000 just to find out it was a fake -_-

Anything that has to do with clothing items. Through letters or when they ping me - .-
They'll just ping and come up to me and literally give me their clothing item because it 'clashed with almost everything they owned', or 'because they won it at some tournament'...
And when you reject them, they'll be like 'take it, for being honest!'
I just sell them at Re-Tail
