Disappearing DIY recipes

I've been obsessively tracking my recipes as I try to complete my collection, and over the past month I've had 3 recipes disappear! I'd even crafted items with them so it's not like I mistakenly marked them off or something. One came back after a hard reset of the Switch but I had to trade for 2 to get them again. Luckily they were fairly common ones, but if it had been cherry blossom ones or something I would have been pretty mad. Anyone else had this happen to them? Did you get them back?

I've seen some previous posts about this but never heard a follow-up if the recipes reappeared, etc.

I recall that some said if you gained a new diy, the ones that vanished would appear again, but never seen a confirmation for that either.

Hopefully someone can chime in about this.

They weren't the cards but recipes I'd already learned and even crafted with.

Yeah, I wasn't able to get any to reappear after learning new ones, only after a hard reset, and even then it only worked with one.

Huh.... Now I'm curious about mine, because I noticed the other day that it said I had never crafted a garden bench, when I absolutely have. Now I'm wondering if it's registering if I know it at all.

Edit: It's there because I forgot about how the DIY section worked. Brain fart. Oops. Sorry I wasn't able to help, that's really strange.

I don't know about the DIY but I do know that when I am searching for fossils I'm usually able to find three and the fourth one alludes me forever. I go into a building and then when I exit low and behold the last one appears somewhere I know I had ran by several times.

The first time someone brought this up, I thought that maybe they forgot to read the DIY and save the game, or accidentally sold it. But now that I'm seeing this same issue the second time, I'm wondering what's causing it and if I'm missing anything myself.

Im pretty sure the cherry blossom pile diy disappeared for me :0 I know I crafted one but I was unable to craft more.....guess Ill be watching this thread to see if anyone has any solutions!

Yeah that's as close as I got to a DIY glitch. I wasn't able to get one from her. It was a sad sad day. I swear I am not imagining it, but fossils seem to be magically appearing whenever I enter/exit a building or they're swapping around where they are whenever I do that. And it's usually the last two that do it.

Fossils? Do you have them on you or are they buried when they're swapping?

For my daily chores I go looking for fossils after I get back from work. I can find the first 2/3 no problem and than #4 is just MIA. I scour the entire island and check each nook and cranny. I decide to give up because I end up wasting a half hour, go to get the ones I got accessed and then sell whatever I have on me at Nooklings.

Then when I finish all those rounds I just happen to find the X spot somewhere I already ran by several times. And it's in the open so it's not like trees were hiding it or anything. It's really weird. I thought maybe the first time I was just overlooking it, but it happens almost every day now.

Oh no, that's awful! It's especially bad with Bunny Day getting in the way of everything too :/ Hopefully you can recover it

I've had that glitch. Two weeks ago I used an amiibo card to move Kody out in the afternoon. Later in the evening Kody was facing the wall crafting air. Everything was boxed up for the move.
