disappearing campsite villager

has this happened to anyone? i never had fauna in my main town before. she was in boxes on my cycling town, so i invited her into my main town and she agreed. 6days later....she never showed up but she was in my campsite on main town. i invited fauna into my main town from the campsite and she agreed to move in. the next day i found her plot...saved, no problem. the following day i got this letter in the mail:

"Dear Flash,
The truth is, I was still struggling with whether I should move or not. I feel bad about this, Flash, but I must stay in my current town for a while longer.
Farewell, Fauna"

does that mean if i want her back, i have to do a 16villager cycle? she never physically walked into my town. anyone know why this happened? i've never had this issue happen to me when inviting in a villager from campsite.

Someone else had this before with Wolfgang and it glitched their town pretty bad.

Can you sit on the town tree / open your villager list on your map or write letters still? And are you able to walk over where the plot was placed for Fauna?

This is why Time Traveling needs to be avoided, sheesh.
Fauna just wasn;t ready to move away from her current town, sorry, but she was attached. Just experiment and see if it's possible to get her without cycling through 16 vilalgers. like the above ^ Most have never seen this happen before. Show us the letter.

Can you sit on the town tree / open your villager list on your map or write letters still? And are you able to walk over where the plot was placed for Fauna?

I remember, but they invited two Wolfgangs in: one from campsite and one from a town.

That's what the OP said they done. But on 2 different days. ~ I think the town before was on the same day, so that might be what went so wrong for them.

IIRC something similar happened with another member on here but it left their town glitched. I think they had done what you had done as well, inviting a villager from another town and then the same villager from their campsite a few days later... The villagers plot showed up and then they received the letter that they wouldn't be moving in. On their town map the villagers home showed up but if they walked to the space the home was supposed to be it wasn't there, and they couldn't walk onto the spaces where the home was supposed to be. Has this happened in your town or no?

I'd say if she doesn't show up in your main street then you probably don't need to cycle. Sorry this happened to you!

i think i know what you mean by it glitching the town. the plot shows up on my map...but when i click it the house the game shuts down. i can sit on the tree and everything shows up. but if i touch the villager list, game shuts down.

Damn, you should check to see if you can walk over that area in your town. The person in that thread couldn't and uploaded it as a dream town so people could see.

It's not necessary, though there's a chance you might now not be able to have any villagers move in/out. :/

This sounds really terrible! We almost need a stickied thread in the Villager Trading Plaza to warn others of this glitch! I would feel so terrible if this happened to me.
