Hey guys, I would like your feedback on this.
So my town layout is super ugly. Part of it is due to villagers that have moved, but one major reason is due to me being an idiot a few years back and putting The Roost cafe in what now I have realized is a bad spot. As you know, Roost is a public works project that cannot be taken down once finished. I've been thinking of resetting my town but there are some benefits and drawbacks to this.
Benefits:
1) Get this one opportunity to get my perfect town layout. This is one of the main reasons I want to reset. I can finally start from scratch and have everything perfectly laid out. I can have villagers not move in the middle of my paths and actually have beautiful paths. My camping place can actually be placed in a smart spot.
2) New villagers. I can get a fresh new set of villagers(or even encounter some old villagers). Even if I feel nostalgic and want some of my old villagers, I can always do villager trading.
3) Ways to keep my money and catalog. After the update in 2016(from what I remember), I can keep the catalog and all my money if I decide to reset my town. Either way, I can find people to hold on to my stuff for me if I would like.
Drawbacks:
1) Building upgrades gone. I would have to upgrade to T&T Emporium(my current store and the highest level store) all over again. That will be a pain to upgrade again. I would have to unlock Kick's and that garden store again. I would have to unlock Roost. It's a never ending cycle of things I would have to unlock.
2) Encyclopedia is gone. Even if I still keep my golden tools, I would still have to re catch all my fish and all my bugs. I wanna have my encyclopedia AND my museum filled.
Those are the benefits and drawbacks I can think of off the top of my head now. If you have resetted before or if you have any tips then please post your reply. Thanks to anyone who may have read my long ramble.
