Dig Up Pitfall Seed Or Fall Into It?

I've always had one buried in a corner so they don't re-spawn. Occasionally - & its been very rare for me (not sure why, maybe cos I have got one buried in a corner) I get a black pitfall showing up at the Police Station - the so called tricky pitfall. Just the same, but a much smaller star when buried, a lot harder to spot. Haven't tried selling it - maybe its worth a bit more.

I usually bury it up, I mean, bells are bells after all! But if I don't have enough room in my inventory I just run into it.

One time Charlise (A villager I want gone so badly) automatically fell into a pitfall when I loaded up my game (She's in camera view of my house, meh) and I laughed so hard about it. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR SQUISHING MY SNOWMEN!

i dig it and bury it in a corner of the map so i can't fall into it. that way a new one won't spawn and i don't have to worry about it!

That's a good idea, I'm definitely doing that!

I just dig 'em up and sell 'em, it's not a big deal to me. Sometimes if I have one laying around I might troll a nearby villager with it, but that's on extremely rare occasions.

All of my towns have a pitfall burried on the beach or hidden somewhere. My daughter loves coming over and digging up the pitfall and replacing it with a seashell. That way, a new one spawns the next day, and I get a shock when I fall into it. I'll check my beach and see that the pitfall is still burried there, and wonder how one spawned in my town. Lol.

I usually dig them up by accident while looking for fossils. I never even considered burying one somewhere in a corner so a new one wont spawn! I am totally going to do that today and then I won't have to worry about it anymore! <3

Stepping on a Pitfall is exactly the same as a bee or jellyfish encounter. Well, not exactly, since a beehive sells for 500 bells. Bottom line is that *I* feel nothing except , occasionally, amusement.

I just buried a pitfall in the corner of my town and covered it with bushes so no more pitfalls will spawn and no one can fall into it.

I buried mine in my private island because I don't want to deal with it with seeing it or making sure I don't accidentally fall in it. Out of sight out of mind.

Iunno. I guess I never saw it as that much of an inconvenience? IMO it's more irritating to fall because it always happens when you're not expecting it. >.>

dig them up and just sell it to retail because i hate falling into them, and i don't want my villagers to experience the same!

I fall into them most of the time but once in awhile I'll feel like trolling one of my villagers and end up pushing 'em right in.

When I learned they wouldn't return if you reburied that's exactly what I did. Haven't seen one since!

I usually dig mine up unless I accidentally fall in BUT I now will dig it up and bury it far away somewhere so I won't have to worry about it anymore. Thanks for the tip!

I buried one in a corner that no one goes in. Every now and then a visitor will step on it and I'll have to look for it to bury it again.

I did the same with the daily fossils. Once I completed that part of the museum, I dug up all the fossils and buried them behind town hall so they would stop spawning every day and I wouldn't have to see the X anywhere. The only things that spawn now are gyroids, there's no stopping them.
