I’ve been playing this game for about a month now, and since I have started I not once have been able to make orange Hyacinths I have red and yellow Hyacinths together in hopes of making orange Ultimately so that I can make purple but I have never made orange!!! the offspring will either be yellow or red. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else come across this? I’ve even had friends come over and water them (not everyday but when they can) and still no progress, yet all my other hybrids are flourishing. It’s making me very frustrated!!! 😕
If anyone has tips or advice or even orange Hyacinths to spare let me know, I would appreciate it!

That's frustrating! As far as I know you've just had bad luck. I ended up with purple after only a few days into the game but I didn't realize how lucky I was at the time. I think I had about 4 orange when it happened. They do duplicate like weeds once you get them going, though, but it can be painstakingly slow until you get any. I'm still trying to breed blue roses and haven't had any success so far.

I could give you a few purple hyacinths if you'd like?

Getting the firsts hybrids is sometimes a little tricky...took me forever to make a black cosmo and then like 2 weeks to have a second one, I end up trading for a third one to be able to breed them better (and is still difficult, jeez)

I've got a few orange hyacinths to spare btw, so if you want I can bring them to you (can bring even a purple or two, unless you prefer to breed them yourself!)

Did you plant the flowers diagonally or in a cross/X position? Are there space around the flowers? Red and yellow hyacinths has 50% chance of breeding orange offsprings, so it shouldn't be troublesome.

It can take a while. The only advice I have is the more pairs you have, the faster you'll get one. It took me forever to get one too, watching and watering a few flowers... wasn't until I set up a field of them did I start getting results. So many yellows, though. Those and yellow tulips.

You'll get there soon don't worry! It took me ages to get purple hyacinths from orange, it's like a 6% chance apparently. If you're struggling, any blue hyacinths that come from oranges have a 25% chance of producing purple! That's how I was able to get my purple hyacinths, I can give you some orange if you want!

It's definitely satisfying to see them suddenly bloom after a such a long time. I wish you luck, it took me forever to get 1 blue rose and now I have too many. I cant see the ground. help.
