How many people remember and have played this game?! I know a lot of people were in love with Mario Kart but I played this game for hours. It was definitely a big chunk of my childhood gaming experience on the N64. :) I might dust off my system and have another go.

MEEEEEEEeeeeee!!!! OMG I used to play that game all the time. I still have it too, along with all my 64 games.

Yeah, I love Diddy Kong Racing. I always thought it was better than Mario Kart 64. Remember the multiplayer game where you had to take the eggs and hatch them? Haha I had a lot of good times with that level and with DKR in general.

I remember that! I played that game on Saturday afternoons with my friends. Man was that game addicting! Imagine if there was a revamp! I always thought that game would be big like Mario Kart but it never made it that far. It is definitely a gem on the N64. :)

EDIT: Wow this is ironic! lol I just realized it was you who started making me watch Diddy Kong Racing videos just now! I was on your blog, then I went to your YouTube channel to see an AC video then I looked through your other videos. I flipped out when I saw your character list of DKR.

I still play it, on my DS that is. I love that they ported it.

I loved this game, it's a real shame. They could've really gone further with the series, but I guess they didn't want to take any chances in reducing Mario Kart's profits.

I used to own this game back in my younger days. This was one of the most played titles as far as I remember.

I also happen to have the DS remake of that game, but the touch screen and mic implementations are poorly executed. Having to rub the touch screen just to boot your car up is kinda bothersome.

Honestly I would choose DKR as my favorite racing title over Mario Kart. It seemed to be more appealing in my opinion. And the drifting! My goodness the drifting! lol

Yea, I like to not think about that game. It was poorly executed. -_-

I loved Diddy Kong racing! I would always play as Conker, because he was my favorite character. I played it twice as much as I did Mario Kart, and I wish I could find a cheap copy for my 64.

I remember my mom rented Conker's Bad Fur Day for me, because I begged her, and neither of us noticed that it was rated M because I loved him in Diddy Kong Racing. My little seven year old mind was in for a surprise, to say the least.

I think i might have tried it once or twice a few years back. Sadly i wasn't able to have in my earlier childhood years.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH I PLAYED THIS GAME LIKE CRAAAAZY. I was always Conker the squirrel and my brother was Pipsy or mimsy er whatever her name was the mouse. My ultimate favorite level was actually the minigame where you flew down to the lava pit and grabbed eggs to deliver to your nest, but people could steal your eggs from your nest or shoot rockets at you and junk. I LOVED THAT GAME. I need to get my N64 out now.

I remember a lot of my friends did the same thing. xD They didn't even know about the rating for that game! hahah
My favorite character was always Banjo or Diddy! They were my favs!

Anyone remember the battle mode? I loved the Ice Castle stage. And Tiptup rocks socks. Just saying.
