Did you reset for a good town map etc.?

I did. The only criteria I had was a place where I would be able to put my house and no villagers would be able to place their houses next to mine. I finally found a map which was perfect, though the way my waterfall is, catching fish there is going to be difficult. I reseted for five hours or so before finding this map. Not sure how many times I actually reset, but I did it over three days so it was okay.

I reset yesterday. I was resetting for four hours to get a map I liked. My requirements were: Decent map, decent starters, a good place to put my house, star snow (circle grass), and preferably apples and a west beach. I got most of what I wanted apart from the apples (I got oranges instead). My map is practically the same as yours, Carina, but with the town hall and re-tail switched round.
I love it!!!

I did. I reset over about five days until I got a map I really liked. It was sooo boring but worth it in the end because I knew that if I just chose any map and wasn't completely satisfied with it, I'd end up resetting anyway at some point down the line. It had to have a centralized plaza, any fruit but pears or oranges, re-tail by the dock, south facing waterfall, private beach, lots of space and an area set away for my house. I finally found one the other day and I love it!

I have reset my town a few times. But it had less to do with town layout and more to do with getting either Wolfgang or Lobo as a starting villager.

I didn't. A couple times I told Rover no just because I felt like it, but I had never purposely looked for a good layout. And I won't reset my whole town now because I've done way too much in it to let it go.

I didn't. I'm pretty happy with my layout though. Retail and town hall are both closeish to the train station which is nice.

I did reset with the following criteria:

- Map with a river that's not too big
- Map with a lot of space for pwp's
- Good starting villagers with KIKI in them
- No oranges (this one could be skipped if all of the rest was awesome)

I found one after a day of resetting, pretty happy with it!

I did reset for almost 2 days to get a map I liked in my second town.
On my first town I didn't. I had no idea there were more map options than the first 4 I was given so I chose the nicest one and it ended up working out. ^^

Oh wow :) JellyBeans, I would LOVE to see it when you get the dream mansion, I just love seeing towns with the same layout like mine and what projects, paths etc. other people made ;) I love the little differences although it's the same layout
