did you guys pay your last loan to tom nook?

i haven't yet (i planned on saving up so i had a lot to fall back on, then i ended up spending too much, so now i'm saving up again. doesn't help that i haven't gone to nmt islands for extra bells and forgot to buy turnips this week), though i definitely want to when i can so that i can get the cheap customizations that i keep hearing about.

hi guys i have like 6.8 mil bells in my abd and i really want to finish my loan but it feels like a waste of money cuz of no real upgrade..
did u guys pay it even though it dosent give u anything beside free house redesign?
Yes, because I didn't want to pay for exterior renos.

Also it's awesome being debt free, even if it's in a game and not real life. :shakes fist at student loan debt:

I haven't yet, but I plan to eventually. I want to build up my bells so I need that money to do things like buy turnips each week and try to make my savings bigger.

I only have a back room and a left room. I've been too occupied working on my island that I haven't used any of the Bells for my debt.

Yeah, I did it once I had 6 mil in the bank. Figured as long as I have enough to keep a modest stake in the stalk market rolling for around 1 mil of profit a week, I'll never run out of bells.

I dont know that I've paid off my final loan in any of my animal crossing games! Like you, I didn't feel like there was really a point? You don't get anything for it. MAYBE in NH I'll finally do it (eventually), just for completion's sake.

I will eventually, but right now I'm focusing on replacing all my bridges with a different style and on upgrading my second character's house. Then after that, I want to move some of my villagers' houses around... Too much to do, not enough bells!

I haven't done it yet because I am spending wall too much money on moving things around and I want to make sure I have enough before it's all finished. UGH.

Maybe after I finish moving my buildings and building 4 more player houses. Or if Nintendo adds a better incentive than cheap renovations.
