Did you guys lose interest in ACNL?

I've been slowing down a bit recently, though most of that is because of real life things. I definitely still enjoy playing the game, mainly because I still have a lot of stuff to look forward to (my house is barely upgraded/furnished, for example).

I've set goals so I won't loose interest in the game, like collecting all the pieces of a set before moving on to another, and I don't "rush" things like trying to get my house upgraded within two weeks. Probably if I had set goals like this for Harvest Moon and wasn't in a rush to unlock this and that I'd still be interested in it.

Let's see. I played AC:WW every day for 3 years. I think my interest in AC:NL will last a long, long time. I particularly like the passage of seasons in the game. Playing AC is the only way by which I can experience spring, summer, autumn and winter because I live in a country with no seasons! We have sunshine and rain and that's it. In real life, I'm always complaining about the weather, it's too hot and humid all the time, all year long. I only experience a different climate when I travel out of the country, which is one reason why I love travelling.

I do tend to stick with a game for a while if I like it a lot. I played Don't Starve in its beta stage last year, right through to its official launch, and I'm still playing it even though I have beaten the game. (Completed adventure mode.) I played Plants vs Zombies twice, a year apart, and I am dying for the sequel to be fully released. I played The Sims 2 for years, collecting every expansion pack, creating and sharing custom content, even making machinima. I would still be playing it if I had not upgraded from Windows XP to Win7 this year.

I will admit that I've been able to put the game down lately but I haven't lost interest in it. I just value real life much more than my gaming life. I still play everyday but I limit how long I play - If I play at all.

Me too, more things have happened in my actual life than New Leaf. I don't like grinding in games and New Leaf makes me do it sometimes...

I still play the game but its just that I'm not that crazy about it as it first came out and all I saw was this perfect town

I believe most outsiders would consider my attachment to this game to be more of an addiction. It is constantly on my person, 60% of the time being played. Otherwise, I am on the internet browsing Gamefaqs and this site for fantastic deals towards completing my catalog. I am a perfectionist when it comes to games like this, and I love to help people out. Once I finish my catalog, I will have very little need of my copious number of bells. Everyone will be getting free stuff. :D This game will never be boring enough for me to quit, the only reason I don't play regular Animal Crossing or City Folk anymore is because something far better has come out. I am grateful to Nintendo for producing such a spectacularly entertaining masterpiece. I quite love the wireless trade function ability for use around the world, and close range. They've outdone themselves and to straightforwardly answer the initial question, No. I have not and will not lose interest in this game. ^^

I'm not one of those people you see who can't put the game down and play the game every waking hour of the day, I never have been.

I wish I could, but work and other things come first, I've been playing the game less than when it came out, but I'm not exactly tired of it just yet.
