I have my town since release... well.. until today.. i decided to delete my town.
I was like 20 minutes waiting till i push the buttom to destroy everything, its just a game but it was kinda hard too...So much effort, get hyped when an awesome villager arrive or get smacked when a beloved villager leave. Do some jumps of joy when someone realy annouying pack his back (looking at you Truffles... 10 hard months u just dont want go!) etc.
Just awesome memories.
Do u share this feeling?
I had everything.. museum, all happy home points and a town i realy loved. But i had times where i dont play that much and some of my beloved villagers are gone - replaced with other ones. I never thought it will be that hard lol.
I will wait till tomorrow with making a new town

No, I haven't. I had thoughts to wipe my first town but I just can't bring myself to. I ended up buying another copy so I don't have to consider it anymore, and I'm really happy with it.

I deleted my first town that I made on release day a little over a year after I created it. It took me months to decide to do it and the day that I finally did I sat there for like 10 minutes asking myself if I really wanted to do this before I closed my eyes and pushed the button.
Since then I've deleted a few other towns that just didn't feel right to me after a while. It hasn't been as hard as that first time though because I didn't feel as attached to those towns.

Only towns I used to mess around (like play some events and just run around lmao, didnt play in any of them for more than a day) before starting an actual town.

I have reset twice, both were after returning to the game. My current town will be a year old in July, I'm not going to reset again - when a new Animal Crossing releases I'll get a town there. I've gone without resetting in my City Folk town, though.
If I could, I would go back to my original town and make it work. It's much more fun keeping your original town, in my opinion.

I know exactly how you feel! When I erased my first ever town which I put so much into and played on for so long I knew I felt bored with it, but at the same time I didn't want to let everything go to waste.
I eventually gave up on that and deleted the town. There wasn't any order to it and it was just random. I wanted to make something I could feel proud about putting lots of effort into.

I did once, but I wasn't too attached to the town, and I only did it after I realized that I could transfer my player from my brother's town to another cartridge. And so... I resetted, started a brand new town, and transferred my girl, who's now the mayor. Haven't reset since. :P

Now, back in WW, I was always resetting just to get a perfect layout... I haven't touched that game in a bit. If I do pick it up again, I'll probably reset it again. xD

I've reset so many towns across all the games, you kinda get desensitized to it after a while. If a town doesn't feel right, or I don't enjoy living in it, I reset, no big deal.

I resetted my WW town a few years ago. It seemed like the right decision at the time but I regret it now.

I've reset so many times... and gone through a lot of copies. The reason I reset the first town I had was because I didn't care for my face.

... I probably should have seen if there was a guide for it first, especially considering that I didn't get it on release day. rip

I've reset twice now, my original town of Seabring became boring and after a hiatus a lot of my favorite villagers moved out. I played for a little bit trying to get some new villagers I liked but I was careless with cycling and ended up losing even more. So I restarted and made Autumn, which was a beautiful perfect deer-only town I loved but I lost Diana and Vik moved in the middle of town and it was all ruined. So now I'm working on Stardust and I will be super careful with this town not to lose anyone!

yes, SO MANY TIMES. it's a bad habit that I have. I keep telling myself that I'll keep my first town for the next installment of the game but I know that's probably not true ;w;

i don't have the guts to reset. my town isn't perfect, in fact i don't even like it that much, but i'm still extremely attached to it and i don't think i could bear to reset in the near future.

once in a dream (like, an actual real life dream, not at the dream suite) my data was corrupted and i had to start over and i was horrified...

I've never reset a town, and I don't ever plan to. My town is definitely imperfect and there are things about it that I would love to change, but I've made so much progress in ACNL that I just can't bring myself to reset.

like once or twice I think? I hate resetting though, IS never ever reset my current town
