Did the patch today mess up tarantula spawns?

I was lucky enough to get a bamboo island tonight. I cleared it completely and the only thing that will spawn are long locusts and all the common butterflies. None of these are supposed to spawn after 7 PM. I keep trying to clear them thinking they are hold overs, but they still respawn. It's now after 8 PM, not a single tarantula has popped up, but all these others are still there.

I looked them up and they should still be around through April correct? Anyone else with this issue?

If it has a pond/river, then the water bugs probably take up the slots.

Did you pick the flowers? I wasn’t on a better island tonight, and I found several tarantulas.

The bamboo island has neither. I've found that if I arrive before 7, tarantulas won't spawn. After 7, and it's a real life arachnophobia.

You need to make sure you arrive to the island after 7PM or else they won't spawn. Even if the clock is past the time, it goes by the time you arrive on the island, not by current time. So if you arrived before that time it's going to act as if 7PM never arrived.

Pick all of the flowers. You can dump the stacks on the beach.

Oh ok, I got there at 6:45, but I seem to remember having done that before and they still popped up. Well...at least I got a lot of bamboo. Thanks all

Do bugs still spawn on picked flowers? On the stems, I suppose I should say?
