Did I finish cycling 16?

I know about cycling 16 villagers (I cycled Rosie back into my town this summer) and that you should keep track of who moves in/out. However, last summer I traded away Julian. I didn't keep track of how many left after him but he used to show up in my Main Street. Is it true that once he leaves Main Street I can get him again?

also- I know I can go to someone with him in boxes and see if he will leave (and they can flick the wifi switch so I won't get him) but I'm not sure how I would find someone who would let me do that.

That's true, if he stops showing up in your Main St. then he's finished cycling. You just have to keep in mind that just because you don't see him one day doesn't mean he's necessarily finished cycling; not every past villager shows up every day. If you don't see him consistently, it's probably safe to assume he's finished cycling.

TBT's an understanding community, so if you were to just ask nicely and explain your situation to someone with Julian in boxes (so most anyone giving away Julian in the Trading Plaza) they'd let you.

Yes but it's only possible if he completely stopped showing up in your main street. ^~^ He may not be showing up today, but he might show up the next day or next week, you'll have to be sure. if you don't see him on main street for an amount of time (let's say 3-4 weeks.) then I'm sure you've cycled out enough to bring him back. c:
