Splatoon Did anyone else notice this?

So a few days ago I was playing on the new stage, Flounder Heights, and I started hearing the cicada sounds from Animal Crossing!
If you want to hear it better without the music, when Flounder heights is in the stage rotation, select Recon, and then Flounder heights. You'll be able to explore the stage without music, and hear the cicada sounds... all the time...

Anyway I thought it was a cute detail... unless that's just what cicadas sound like in real life, and they used the sound effects for both AC and Splatoon... Then I'm dumb. XD

I did notice that! And yeah, that's just what they sound like in real life, lol.

Yeah that's actually what they sound like. It's pretty cool that they added that in. The closer you get to the trees in the middle, the more you will be able to hear them and if you spray the tree with ink, the cicadas will make an agitated sound and become louder than before.

Yes, I heard them today or yesterday! I was gonna mention it to my brother but he wouldn't have gotten it haha

yup those are cicadas. i think its because there are a few ac devs right?

I heard those too! I only recognised that they were cicadas though because of Animal Crossing and how much I hear them in that game all summer long which can get annoying haha.
