So I was at my grandmother's house for a week and she only had dial up internet. OMG, how awful. I was just wondering how many people know someone who has this (or do themselves at one location).
Also, is there anyone young or lucky enough to never have known dial up internet?
I was 13 when we first got the internet and it was *super fast dial up* back in the early 90's. Post your first internet experience, please!

I've experienced it, too.

I've always hated that annoying dialing noise you get. My family used AOL a couple years back.

You guys are so lucky, when I was 15 computer games were supposed to be the realm of pimplyfaced boys. Pretty girls just didnt play games as much! *envious*

AOL... -shudder-
Bzzzzrt zzzt zzzzzzzzzzzz...
That horrible noise when connecting.

it's worse than the fingernails on blackboard.....but do you guys even know what a slate chalkboard is like?

Fingernails on a blackboard.. *shudders*
Yeaah the dial up is more annoying
Uhh i think i know bout teh slate chalkboards o.e

I remember dial up! We didn't have it, but my friends did and it would take soo long.

My first internet experience was when I was really young during the mid 90's and we had the HUGE fat gateway computer and I would play reader rabbit and ispy computer games on it. I got so mad because I couldn't find something in ispy that I took out the disk and broke it hahaha.

When I first got the internet, Dialup was common. But then again that was nearly 16 years ago.

Yep those days. That AOL noisce that sounds like a phone trying to connect but 100x worse. Dial Up was common for me in the 1996. I just remember the days my family wanted everybody to get off the phone. This year everything has changed.
