Diagonal bushes?

I know the "only 12 bushes\trees\bamboo after each other and the next plant will die" thing, but something I realized I didn't really try, does it count if you have a bush diagonal to another, like does it count in the chain?

b stands for bush, o is for empty space... so yeah, like that - heh!

I believe so as mine have been dying when I've planted them like that. Think it counts as a row even though it's on a corner

I believe it counts all the way around as the whole point of the rule is to stop players/animals getting trapped.

o = tree/bush
x = land counted in twelve bush limit

it does count for diagonal bushes! I plant a ton of bushes, and its always all things connected via adjacent spaces, no matter if it is horizontal, vertical, or diagonal
