Yeah, I could spend 5 minutes on a video and make you fall in love.
Ahahaahaha I would like to see you try to create something as original and artistic as thing.
That wasn't art. Art lost it's meaning a while back.
Ha, you make me laugh. Not art? Good joke.
There was nothing artistic about it, there was a guy jumping into water, with some music playing in the background.

  • attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed
David, I know you. I've seen the numerous comments you've made all over TBT and talked to you on Xbox Live. If anything, I'll bet you're only slightly less annoying in real life, as no one has the balls to be as much of a douche as you in actual conversation.

And calling someone ignorant without giving reasons why they are ignorant, or what they are ignorant of, just sounds clich

Then I feel sorry for you, you view everything from a very narrow-minded viewpoint.

I actually view most modern art as trolling the rich, because when you slap paint on a canvas and sell it for $2000, you can't be thinking of anything emotional about it. Same goes for a guy jumping into water with surreal music playing.

You sound like you live a dull life if you're against art.

David's not really funny anymore. He's actually getting extrememly annoying. It feels like you waste time just talking to him.

I am not against art, I am completely for actual art, but this wasn't actual art.

Well, I am not going to mindlessly bash your opinion on art, but to me, art needs to show that you put lots of work into it, it needs love and care (or hatred and disgust, depends on what it is) for it to be something worth it, and spending 20 minutes jumping into a lake, recording it, then editing it so it will say by Joe and Jumped by Alex, is not putting half a rat's ass into it.

No, David, that's not it. You see, when people discuss art, they talk about its merits, meaning, and relevance. It's not about bemoaning the ignorance of those who don't give a *censored.2.0* in an attempt to seem cultured, and it's not about attacking the other person in your conversation. Now that you've posted a work for critique, it's your job to defend your opinion of it. Sounds hard, right? I think you can do it.

Have you ever made a proper video with good equipment and everything and later edited it?

I haven't, because truly, it is uninteresting to me. I don't want to waste my time with film burn that I could be using to practice making stop motion films, as I do normally.

Wait, wait wait, so you're talking *censored.2.0* about something, when you dont even know what was put into it? I can gurantee you that, shooting that video, took at least an hour. then putting it together perfectly took another hour, and then maybe close to another hour to get the colour grading right. then i can tell you that Joe, the creator, watched it over and over again for at least another hour and fixed every little thing that wasnt perfect. Youve got your head in the gutter if you think its some 20 min job. and do you even know what film burn is?

Sounds like a fun way to spend an afternoon, David. Can you guess how long a painting takes to make?

And yes, I do know what film burn is.

its impossible to say, it depends on the artist, what theyre doing, and their skill set. it can take hours to weeks to months to years.
