Stop flaming each other. You people get so tense over the most pointless things.
I'm not tense, just bemused by how unabashedly pretentious David is. We all see it, including him. He just wants us to believe we don't.
Being able to appreciate a piece of art makes me pretentious?

It's unfortunate that there's so many people that just don't understand how beautiful this stuff is.

Can't wait to get into that college and be around people that can understand and appreciate this stuff.
Can I please have whatever you are smoking :{ it seems like some realllly good *censored.2.0* bro!
I don't do drugs, waste of time and money, plus they make you look like a total moron, and present serious health problems.
This is exactly what I think when people say they find that art crap "beautiful." , even though they don't understand it. Actually, I only think that of you.

David, I understand your struggle (not having anyone to identify with your interests), but there's a difference for us filmophiles (or anyone else for that matter) to either educate and help appreciate or becoming an elitist.

No:

pretentious - adjective
  • attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed

Well, with you being a fellow filmophile, do you see the beauty and uniqueness in this? I've never actually met someone else who sees things the same way I do.

So you say. Impression takes many forms. Either way, you are still affecting (used in the psychological sense) greater taste and intelligence than you actually possess.

No psychology lesson here. The definition I copied and pasted from Apple's dictionary used that rather obscure definition of "affect", so I thought it would be necessary to point out which sense the Apple definition used.

You've never met me, and you know very little about me and what I do, how do you say I don't possess greater taste and intelligence? You're just being ignorant.

David, I know you. I've seen the numerous comments you've made all over TBT and talked to you on Xbox Live. If anything, I'll bet you're only slightly less annoying in real life, as no one has the balls to be as much of a douche as you in actual conversation.

And calling someone ignorant without giving reasons why they are ignorant, or what they are ignorant of, just sounds clich
