I was thinking about more complex villager emotions and thoughts and this is what I came up with:
~ Cranky villagers tend to be more stingy with trades - at times, they'll adamantly refuse to higher/lower a price unless you're good friends with them.
~ Cranky and jock villagers will sometimes go outside when they are sick. Cranky villagers do this to prove a point that they're not "old" and jock villagers do it to exclaim they are still exercising and strong when they aren't.
~ Villagers will want to move away if you keep hurting them or ignoring them. If they wish to move away because of this reason, it'll be harder to convince them to stay.
~ The times villagers wake up varies. Therefore, lazy and snooty villagers will be upset/angry about waking up too early. Lazy villagers will generally be upset because they like sleeping and snooty villagers will be concerned that they didn't get enough "beauty sleep".
~ When villagers argue, they are angry at each other for a longer length of time. Sometimes the player can help fix the issue (if they want to), or it works itself out.
~ Villagers will be more reactive to how you reply to them - normal and uchi villagers may feel self-conscious and upset when you say their outfit doesn't look good, but snooty villagers will lash out and be annoyed with you.
~ Villagers who are good friends with you will be more tolerant to what you say - so when you say their outfit is bad, they suggest that they could try something different.
~ Villagers gossip more and if the person that they were talking about walks by, they might argue.
~ Animals can wake up annoyed/happy/sad.
~ If you're on bad terms with one of your neighbours, they'll walk away from you when they see you.
~ When you leave a villager's house, they will perform an action depending on how they feel towards you. For example, if a cranky villager hates you, they'll shrug nonchalantly when you leave.
~ Villagers might be stand-offish to friends visiting your town depending on how they're feeling.
What do you think?
