demand for villagers after update?

so now that we have the ability to use amiibo cards just to download the villagers we want, will the demand for villager trading/selling eventually become obsolete?

and does anybody know if the 16-villager cycle is still in effect? e.g. ony of my villagers just moved out and i have the amiibo card for them- would i still have to flush 16 villagers through my town before being able to use my amiibo card to get them to move back?

The vtp is already dying down but I feel like not many people collect cards so I don't think it'll die down that much more.

I believe the 16 villager cycle still counts.

well I don't use amiibo cards so I'm pretty much relying on this forum to obtain my villagers with the update too. I have a feeling it's still going to be pretty active... maybe cycling threads will pop up where cards are utilised to get peoples dreamies faster or idk.

I think the Villager Trading/Selling will stay alive. There are new 50 Villagers with new Furniture and some new Themed ones and with the old ones, there a lot of people that doesn't have Amiibo Cards. I think the demand will be increased.

I hope not, I don't have that many cards so I rely on these forums to get my dreamies! It may die down a little bit, but I know that a lot of other people rely on these forums too so it should stay decently active. (Also people could use amiibo cards in cycling towns to help get people their dreamies and earn tbt/igb faster) The price for higher tier villagers may go up though, so there is that.

I expect that the trading plaza will change a lot rather than becoming inactive. I'm predicting cycling services where a member can pay a fee to request a specific villager (out of whatever amiibo cards the cycler owns) and then the cycler will obtain them and cycle them out for the buyer.

That is exactly what I am thinking of doing. I have all the cards, except for the newest batch to be released.
