I love all seasons, so I do like winter. I like the walking on the snow sound because it is relaxing and enjoy building the snowboy. Hope he get to reunite his family soon.
I haven't experienced ACNH snow. I started ACNH in May 2020, and southern hemisphere winter is June - August, but I only remember a lot of rain and fog! I am actually completely OK with that, because a lot of the southern hemisphere doesn't get snowfall, and my island happens to be on that hemisphere. There may have been snow at some point, I'm not sure, because I did take a short break at some point while I was playing Pokémon.
However, winter is starting again, and the other day I awoke to light snow fall on my island, followed by the sun coming out. It was lovely!
I don't know if there will be any real snow this season, but I'll be happy either way! I'm actually enjoying not knowing because I like experiencing the day to day weather changes! And also, I love the bright green of the trees, grass, shrubs, etc. ❤
I do like winter quite a lot in ACNH. Particularly when I first started playing, I found myself enjoying winter quite a bit while TT'ing. After a while though it can become a bit dull imo. I could literally permanently keep my island in Fall time, but I definitely couldn't permanently keep it in winter.
I love winter in AC. I love it even more now that we can decorate outside. However when the snow melts away I sure am happy about it. I wish we had some time winter that wasn't completely snow covered. Like some days there could be no snow, a light dusting, and then the usual covered.
I started playing ACNH during the winter season so it holds a lot of first time memories for me so I'm going to biased towards the season both in game and in real life. I honestly can't wait to experience it again though with it leading up to Christmas and Toy Day as I've seen the decorations you get and I can't wait to decorate my island with them.
its ok it never snows where i live but once it snowed alot and i hated it snowing for weeks straight is harsh i was in hawaii with my famiy for one week but when ever snow gets deep i dontl ike it but i do love to sled
EDIT: snow in NL and NH looks bad wth the items to me
I love winter in AC! Although my previous island designs (alongside plans for my current island) look arguably better during the other seasons, it enables the game to feel more well-rounded and full in my opinion. In particular, it feels super cosy during winter to have the snow-covered island vibe - it makes for some awesome photographs too! =)
I don’t like it on the game or in real life. It doesn’t look right on a tropical island. There are some islands it looks great on, but others, not so much. It depends on the theme. I keep my island in the summer months.
I’ve always thought winter is super pretty, it’s just I live in Canada so it’s too cold to enjoy. I really like Animal Crossing winters, and my island has lots of blue and purple hyacinths so the cool colours look really nice against the snow.
I actually didn't like winter in AC very much until NH. The updated graphics make winter look so beautiful, I love the frosty trees and the shimmer in the snow at night. It's really peaceful this time around. I also live somewhere that doesn't get snow so it's nice to experience a white christmas in some form.
I really disliked winter/snow at first. But after getting all the illuminated and holiday diy I thought it was really magical. Besides, imo, if the game was the same landscape all year it would be a little boring. I use the changing of the seasons to redecorate and switch things up. I guess since I'm from the US/Northeast, I'm used to changing seasons, so that's what feels natural to me.
It’s not my favorite to be honest. Everything is just too white and the snowman are a pain. If I was really into decorating I would have enjoyed it a lot. I don’t like tting for decorations and I don’t like that you don’t get any right away, so there’s no pleasing me. I might get into it a little more this coming winter because I do think it’s pretty to add colorful things to contrast the snow. I would love it if we could decorate outside with hanging Christmas lights. Considering I have a fall themed island though, it kind of just looks weird. So I’m in the boat of I don’t like it.
I only like it during Toy Day and when the lights are on the cedar trees (because it makes the island feel magical), after that I can't stand it!
But I do like when my camellia bushes are bloom, at least it makes the island a little better...
