I miss when crankies and snooties were actually mean 
I don't really mind the complicated maps and crazy waterfalls, but for my island specifically, I prefer it when areas are easily accessible. Inside furniture outside I can understand for ACNH because the outside options are..... not very diverse?? imo??

Hyacinth lamps make me think of old people. Don't see the appeal of them at allllll
Edit: And I know that is a super unpopular opinion, which is why I am giving my hot take since that's what OP asked for. I am super picky when it comes to AC furniture, usually for weird reasons. I don't hate old people or anything, it's just the vibe I get from the hyacinth lamp ;_; If you like hyacinth lamps, more power to you!!

I'm actually not a fan of the food displays people make because even if they're really well made I still know that there's a mannequin head under that delicious cake design and I can't take it seriously. I wish Nintendo would just introduce more furniture already, ESPECIALLY FOOD.

Yes old people are fantastic, but their taste in furniture is usually not (in my opinion)!Old people are fantastic.

Lol, ive seen this typa post like 3000 times and its always the same outcome. The reason anyone says that they dont like those amazing creative islands is cuz deep down they believe that they would never be able to make such an island due to them not being as creative and probably not having that much to make somethin like that. So at the end they make a post saying " I think those islands are too much" and stuff like that just so they can make themselves feel a lil bit better about not having an island like that. 99% of people that write this are like that and I used to be 1 of em. Ofc ppl will say its an opinion but this typa opinion is different, its not much the taste of the person, its just how much more effort and thought has to go in into these islands. Not suprising why so many ppl get burnt out when they see such islands. Some stop playin the game, others calm themselves down by saying hey, this isnt my taste.
or maybe,, just maybe,, they just don’t like those types of islands? there’s loads of people who like more natural-themed islands rather than heavily-terraformed ones with areas that don’t 100% look like they belong in an outdoor setting. just because you said stuff like this out of insecurity doesn’t mean everyone else does, too lol

Very ‘hot take’: I didn’t like New Horizons and quit because it was causing me more stress and frustration than enjoyment. MAYBE I’ll come back to it once updates are over, but I see that as unlikely and am fine with playing New Leaf instead.

I don't lack creativity, and could make one, but I simply don't like them.

Honestly, I didn't have the time to visit someone's island.

I'm genuinely surprised that people think Nook is a greedy capitalist... Can one of those people please point me to anyone/any institution in modern society that doesn't charge interest?
I'm not a fan at all of forced perspective designs. The effort and creativity involved to make them is commendable, but I dislike being able to admire a design from only one camera angle, which happens to be the one I use the least in-game.

Good for you! As an older person, I would use the hyacinth lamps simply because we have limited choices. Some of the items I‘ve used on my island would not be my first, second or even third choice but here we are with little to nothing to work with!
I don't understand the obsession with food items and wanting farming. I also don't understand the appeal of islands that are so full that they have massive lag and nowhere for items to drop out of balloons. They do look really nice, but I can imagine them being a hassle to actually play in.

I want the villagers to be mean again and I want Katrina to come tell me I'm gonna face plant a million times. New Horizons is so boring that way because it's no-nonsense decorate your island and enjoy super nice and cute villagers game. JUST TELL ME I'M UGLY VIVIAN I KNOW YOU HAVE IT IN YOUUU

I wish we didn’t have to put out so much furniture for 5 stars. I liked my island better when it was mostly empty.
