So it seems everybody who got animal crossing is now restarting, and I'm not too happy with my town lay-out so I thought I'd restart. I'm still looking for a town name so if you have any town name ideas let me know.

Why is everybody announcing their restarting?

are you asking why everyone is restarting, or why they are announcing it? Or both? I think that most people are restarting because they were so excited they got the game they choose their town lay-out willy nilly. And they are announcing it so that there online friends know.
yep, I've been thinking about it lately.
Its around this time when we are a a month or so in were a lot people are start getting bored of their original towns so lots of people have been restarting. I'm glad I still love my town, good luck with restarting yours though. 
Some common town names are after real places, japanese style names and stuff. When I first got WW I just typed in a bunch of letters and Kinopot came out of it, I really love it and name every town I have Kinopot.

My town name WAS Crystal (I wanted crystal lake or haddonfield) but it was too long! now I am happy I changed my town and was able to rename it Elm st I am really glad I restarted

Nah, I decided I just wanted to start fresh, I decided my Characters name Is going to be Aurora, and for the town name, I'm still considering but this is what I have so far.

Hey so I came across this map, I'm not sure if it's the one though.
I like it because the plaza is in the center of town and that the re-tail shop is close to the beach, but I'm not sure I like the fact that the re-tail is right in front of town hall.
