Good day, everybody! Today is the Day of the Shamrock. I hope no one is allergic to green.

I put on the greenest outfit I could manage and got my Shamrock Hat from Isabelle. It's much bigger than I like my hats, but I wore it around town anyway. As the Mayor, I need to be in full support of our town events. After my patrol, though, I took it off and replaced it with my Lucky Clover. I will definitely be keeping my Shamrock Hat, since it makes the perfect Mad Hatter hat! So I put that sucker on my Mad Hatter mannequin and there it shall stay forever.
Checked on my HHA score again today, and with the addition of my Mermaid Door I didn't gain much but about 5,000 points. Nook was selling a Mermaid Roof today, so I bought that. It should look much better than the Sweets Roof I bought and it will match my new door. I also purchased a Fairy Tale Fence. Now I just need a Fairy Tale-themed mailbox and siding. He still says I'm 'Ms. Chops Buster' so I guess I need to work on my interior. I guess I'll flip through a guide for some Fairy Tale-themed knick nacks and scatter them throughout my different rooms and see if that helps.
Went to the Roost today to do my job, and he said he didn't need any help at the moment.
I wonder why. Because there's an event going on that everyone is out enjoying? I'll check back with him later.
Now, it is time for the moment we've all been waiting for. (Or at least me.) *drumroll*
The grand unveiling of the UConn Basketball Development Center.
At first I wanted to call it Gampel Pavilion, the actual arena where they play in Storrs, but I figured it was a bit small for that and decided it should model the Development Center instead. Which, ironically, just underwent its actual completion so bonus points for time sync.

I thought I'd wear a basketball jersey and shoes in honor of this occasion, and I figured I would put this outfit on a mannequin in the trophy room later. Now, as we can see, the building has been constructed in the concrete exteriors, with the exception of the Concrete Fence that I am still trying to get. I must say I really love the framing on the siding; It has the pattern of a little filing board or something and it's really appealing to me for some reason.
Outside is the Custom Design Sign sporting the new Connecticut logo as of 2013. I wish I could have put it just one space more to the left, but Isabelle wouldn't let me. Darn secretary, not letting me do my job. That's a rant I'll save for another day. But I might try to plant some bushes in between the sign and the building, and dress up the rest of the yard with some blue flowers. Now let's cut the ribbon and go inside!

Here we are, the main room. This room, obviously, is the basketball court. I cannot stress how long this room was just a room with a wooden floor and chairs. Seriously, it took me forever to find a Basketball Hoop and Ball Catcher. When I first started with this house, I had only planned on having a Basketball Hoop. I didn't know the Ball Catcher even existed. Until one day I was visiting a friend's town and their Nooklings had it for sale. With a squeal of glee, I bought it right up and brought it home to put in here. I was also really happy with how much the Neutral Floor looks like a court floor. I wasn't originally sure about which wallpaper to use, so I had the Modern Wall for the longest time until the Nooklings were selling the Neutral Wall today and I thought it was as perfect as I was going to get.
Also included is a Whiteboard for Coach to draw up plays and other coach stuff, an Extinguisher because every public establishment just has to have one, two School Speakers because they looked like they'd make sense, and a Ringside Table and Scoreboard. Also an Exit Sign over the door which you can't see.

Here's the back wall, comprised of the bench (a bunch of Folding Chairs), an LED Screen, and HHA Pennant. As soon as I get enough points for another HHA pennant, I'm going to put it in the same place on the other side of the wall.
I guess that's it for the introduction, and I'm sorry if it was a bit windy. I just really want to highlight as much as I can. x) Stay tuned for more bits and pieces of the new house tomorrow!
