You've been plot resetting for two days and you walk up to the desired spot and THERE IT IS, right in the exact right spot! I know, some of you think plot resetting is nuts, but when that happens? Worth it!

Any "that moment when" moments for you?

Plot resetting is well worth the wait especially if you're designing your town a certain way.
Mine are kind of in a circle with a few off to side but the ones off the side are out of my way leaving plenty of room for PWPs which is great.

Yes, Merengue was being unhelpful, and I was starting to worry I was just never going to get her in the right spot, then BAM she was and I'm pretty sure I squealed with delight haha, my sister was a little worried for me!

Mind you this was a good week and a half of resetting whenever I had the chance, so getting that plot in the right spot was completely gold, and I was so relieved to be able to play normally again!

I just hate the pit in your stomach that says you won't get the villager in the right spot, though after this business with Merengue I have acquired patience I didn't know was possible, and am ready for Fauna to make trouble for me next (I should be picking her up tomorrow!)

Marina moved into the perfect spot second try when plot resetting! The first time she decided to just destory all my blue hybrids >.>

All my villagers are around the same area except miranda, who Im hoping to move out. Shes like on the other side of the town xD

Haha I almost forgot, Molly - who incidentally moved in just before Merengue - went into the right spot on the first go, a spot no other villager would, and as far from Chief's house as possible (they have surprisingly similar houses unfortunately!) and I was just so impressed and happy with her! I even made a board about it lol, and her being so polite finalised my decision to keep her and let Tia go, and I honestly think it makes her even cuter to me even now :D

I wish you had a dream code so I could see. I'm glad to see other resetting nuts, haha.

Yep, I had that feeling. You wonder if it'll ever happen. And then, it does, and you worry that you'll somehow be forced to quit without saving, or space junk will hit your house right at that moment. :p I had only gone about three hours until now, when I had to go two days. It's a relief to be done!

Plot resetting for Biskit..9/10 times he wanted to move right in front of my house... image if I would not have plot reset! I would not even get to use my brigde which is right below.

When a villager plots perfectly on the first try is such an amazing feeling ~ Papi plotted perfectly right in line with where my path was two squares from Sprinkle. Everyone else however took a good 10+ tries just to get them on ONE SIDE of my map. And Fang was so stubborn taking a good 30+ tries i just gave up and let him live by my house but now he's all alone and everyone else is on the other side besides my mayor. I'll live with it

I plot reset Rudy earlier this week and it literally took two tries. He was one space forward more than I originally want, but he was aligned perfectly in the spot I wanted, so I didn't care. I'm not super strict so long as they're in the space I want.

When you didn't know about plot resetting at first, yet all your villagers move in the perfect spot by themselves. :D

Exactly! All my villagers plotted together in a small suburb community style way naturally. Not too close, but not too far. Personally I don't think I could live some place where the houses are all in a perfect straight line next to each other. :P

My Miranda did that too:D She placed her house to the right other side of the town in front of the waterfall. All my other villagers are more on the left side. At that time I didn`t know about the reset trick. But I love Miranda and I will never let her move.
I did the reset trick for a camper and I needed two days until she finally moved to the perfect spot I wanted her in. It was a relief.

I also don`t like that. I doesn`t feel cozy to have all villagers in a straight line, feels like a ghetto.

I don't think I've had that feeling yet, after a ton of plot resetting I usually settle for my villagers being a space or two off from my intended spot.

But honestly I'm just happy if they're that close, I seem to have bad luck with plot resetting.

Well, I don't care about straight lines. But, I needed the plot in Mallary's exact spot. My village is exactly how I want it.

I've found that new villagers will naturally choose to move in close to wherever the last villager placed their house.

When I was cycling at the beginning of my town's run, the villagers would all place their houses RIGHT next to each other as they were constantly moving out and in. One area of my town was nothing but a dirt patch, no joke.

Pecan was my last dreamie and it took me several hours to get her NOT to place her house right next to Tiffany who had moved in a day earlier. The path was already down. I almost threw my DS, I swear.

Since all but 3 of my dream villagers moved in unexpectedly through cycling, I didn't get to choose where they put their houses, but most of them except Cherry put them in a decent spot. I didn't think it would be worth it to make her move out and do the 16 villager cycle until she moved back in on a better plot so I tried to just make the path around her house. It was kinda hard because she's so close to the river and a thin strip of land so the path is a weird shape. It's okay though, I can handle imperfections. c:

I only plot reseted for Biskit Bones and Walker so they could all live close together.

Benjamin moved right were my Lucky memorial was(In memory of Lucky who moved out. I should have plot reseted for him.

in my main town, 2 villagers were lined up on the bottom half, and 2 on the top half (of course, Lyman had to break this)

Julian moved in lined up to Apple, Diva and Bunnie moved in in places not around other villagers, and Pietro moved in lined up to Gaston (on bottom half.) I've never reset so I find that pretty good c:

Some info:

Mallary, Fauna and Flora are originals, so the game picked those spots.
Erik is in the exact place original Clay vacated, which did take about an hour of plot resetting.
Lolly placed herself before I got into plot-resetting. I'm pretty proud of her for that spot.
Chief picked a place one spot up from where he's at. I plot-resetted a few times so he wouldn't break up my beach access path.
I checked Phoebe's plot with a new character, but I liked it so I kept it on the first try. Does that count as resetting?
Skye picked her own spot.
Freya is in Hippeaux's game-chosen spot. Took a little less than an hour.
Bam is in Antonio's game-chosen spot. Took about three hours.

I do like how Bam and Freya's houses line up. It's neat to look at when you're walking on the path behind them. I do kind of wish Skye was in line, but it's okay. I also like that I have villagers spread pretty evenly throughout the town.
