Dark Veil (Roleplay)

"That's good to know," I reply, though the thought still goes through my head, Are you really friends though? Or are you just trying to reassure me?
 
I don't think she believes me... Well she is right, I still don't really like Alex, but it was a lot better than before. "Yeah, well, we apologised so erm... We are a lot closer now... Well sort of like when you say close she did fall onto me..." Realising how stupid that sounds I shake my hands and say, "forget that last part."

The last part made me giggle. "I don't think it's possible to forget you saying that," I say as I giggle, realising how weird that sounded when he said it. It probably sounded good in his head but then not so good when he said it, like a lot of the things he said when we were younger.
 
I go red with embarrassment from what I said, when I was younger I always ended up saying something stupid. "It's NOT what it sounds like." I say as I giggle with her realising what I said was a little funny.

I wake up and decide to check on the others so go into the Aura room and see the two giggling. Confused I say, "What's so funny?"
 
Alex walking into the room and asking what was funny caused another fit of giggles, through which I managed to say, "Oh, we, nothing," unconvincingly.
 
Confused I just look at them blankly.

"It's nothing," I say jokingly before adding, "darling." I say it sarcastically, hoping to make her a little angry.

Darling? I give him a little angry look before realising he was trying to make me mad, so Misa would catch us out on our little agreement, as if he found it like a little game. "Yeah, yeah." I say shaking my head FORCING out a smile, inside I wanted to puke.
 
The giggling started again as he added 'darling' at the end of his sentence, and all I coukd think of was the stupid things he had said when we were little, most of which involved accidentaly switching two words around. "Hey, James, remember when we were going to a party when we were little, and you told me that I was wearing a nice polka-dress dot?" I say, laughing. That was the one time I had ever worn a dress that I could remember. It was light blue with white polka dots, and he mixed up the words dot and dress. I pestered him non-stop about it for a week.
 
"Really? Sounds like you were such a smart kid, it REALLY shows." I say crossing my arms and leaning back against a wall with a little smirk.
"H-HEY! Well... remember when we went to the same party and you used your magic to levitate the birthday cake over your head, then you dropped it on your head." I blurt out, embarrassed.
 
"I was only eight then though, I couldn't control my magic very well. You were older than that and could speak properly, yet you still messed up your words quite a lot," I protested. "Plus that cake was yummy..."
 
"Yeah well..." I say mumbling my words, I see Alex smirking, I wanted to get out of the bed and strangle her, but I couldn't move, and then Misa would get upset again. "I... Well, at least I wasn't the one covered in cake, that must of hurt a little." I glance over to Alex and was so tempted to blurt out how her face must of hurt a lot more, but resisted and gave her a small mocking glance, that Misa couldn't pick up.
Was he referring to me? I felt like punching him but held back the anger and smiled at Misa, "You two must have been really close when you were little."
 
"Yeah, we were. Then he left to be an aura, and all I could ever think of was becoming as strong as him and joining him one day," I replied.
 
I genuinely smile, "That's cute. I wish I had a sibling who cared for me as much as you to do for each other." My smile, disappears as I remember my old family, gone now, after I killed them.
"Yeah." I say kindly, "But I am still the better Mage!" I say jokingly. "But I guess you may be the 2nd strongest mage I have seen."

"One day I'll become stronger than you," I say, determined to beat him one day. I gave a sympathetic look to Alex, remembering how she mentioned before that the parasite had took over before, and she had killed her family.
 
"Yeah, I am sure you will be the best mage in the world! Even better than you, buddy." I say in a cheeky tone sarcastically smiling at James.
"Whatever!" I say giggling slightly, "I could still beat you- I mean, every one here in a fight with my eyes closed!" I chuckled.
I was so tempted to remind him of the time I beat him up so bad he was knocked into a coma. Instead I just looked at his legs and rolled my eyes sarcastically. "Yeah, yeah."
 
"Don't start fighting again," I warned them, sitting down. "Here," I said, throwing an apple to James. "Want one, Alex?"
 
"Yeah thanks." I say taking the apple.
"So, Misa I haven't really had the chance to talk with you on a personal level. Do you have any... Boyfriends... crushes?" I say jokingly, "Don't tell me you don't, I remember when we were kids and you talked non stop about or neighbours boy." I chuckle.
I burst out laughing and wipe away a little tear, "Seriously? That's hilarious!"
 
"Shut it, Alex," I said, both a little annoyed and embarrased, but I saw the funny side of it too, and giggled as I took a bite of my own apple. "And not really. I mean, there are only a few boys here to start with. Taylor is a bit of an ass, Raphael is not my type, and it seems like Fein is already taken anyway."
 
"True." I say giggling with Misa.
"Yeah, well no one can really compare with your big bro Misa, no woman can resist me!" I say jokingly, "Isnt that right Alex." I poke fun at her, to remind her of the time she fell on top of me.
I tried to hide my emotions but my face showed a mix of embarrassment and anger.

"Yeah, um, didn't your last girlfriend dump you on account of you being, let me think how she phrased it, 'too boring to be my boyfriend'?" I ask, giggling.
