Daily number of fossils

How many are there per day? Does it change?

My boyfriend claims that he is only finding four.

I mostly always get four. but for some reason there are times I find five and I'm always left confused so I ask myself did I miss one yesterday or am I really digging five fossils today.

When I first began the game I found 5 to 6 fossils once in one day! But then after that I've just been finding 4.

Yeah i've found up to 6 in one day before but regularly 4

I get 4 fossils, 2 pieces of furniture from the trees and I have 6 rocks....

I only found 3 today, I thought it was related to the date or something, but maybe I just missed one. Its probably hiding behind a tree or building....

I started off with finding 5 a day, but lately I've only been finding 4. I always figured I was just missing one, but I was never bothered to hunt too drastically for that 5th one. It's interesting to find out that there may only be 4 now.

12??? Did you not find any on previous days? Itll be interesting if they sort of stack if you miss them every day.
